Tropical Blends

It's been a little cold around here.... yeah, I know it's Arizona and our cold isn't as bad as your cold.  But I'm a desert wimp when it comes to being cold!  I've been dreaming of warmer weather!

So when I tried Honey Bunches of Oats Tropical Blends, it made it much easier to daydream of the Tropics!  Honey Bunches of Oats Tropical Blends has crispy mango flavored flakes combined with real coconut shavings and coconut flavored granola clusters.  I felt like I was on an island!

It has 10g of Whole Grain, and only 6g of sugar (I really like that!) plus 9 essentail vitamins and minerals including 60% of your daily value of iron.

When I first received the box, I wasn't sure if I would like it since I'm not a huge fan of mango.  Though, I am a big fan of Honey Bunches of Oats, so I thought I'd give it a try.  I was pleasantly surprised!  The mango taste is very light and I loved the taste of the coconut.  I'm  a new fan of this cereal!

Hooray, Olay!

Oh, my... I admit it, I'm in love!  I'm not talking about my husband, though I am madly in love with him.  I'm talking about Olay Total Effects 7 in One!  This stuff is amazing!  So what is it, you ask?

Well, let me tell you!  It is a Moisturizer with sunscreen, that fights the 7 signs of aging.  It is a wonderful cream that not only corrects some signs of aging but it also has a slight tint to it, to give lovely coverage.

As Olay puts it:  AA + BB = CC (Anti-Aging plus Beauty Balm equals Color and Correction!)  Cool!

  • Total Effects fights the 7 signs of aging:
    • Fine lines and wrinkles: reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
    • Uneven Tone: balances and helps even out tone
    • Age Spots: reduces appearance of discoloration
    • Gentle Exfoliation: Improves surface cell turnover
    • Dryness: provides nourishing moisturization
    • Moisture Barrier: strengthens skin’s natural defense against moisture loss
    • Luminosity: recaptures youthful luminosity

So, when I pulled it out of the box I almost didn't want to use it, it was so pretty.  The cream is swirled inside the bottle and looks so cool!  I applied some to my face and immediately loved the results!  My skin had a more even tone to it, and it felt so soft!  I admit, I kept touching my face because it felt so smooth!  I used the fair to light color and it looked so natural.  I knew it was there because my skin looked great, but you couldn't tell I was wearing it.  It looked so natural.  Now, please don't faint when I tell you this... but my husband even commented on how pretty I looked that day!  I know, right!!

20 Mule Team Borax - Who Knew?

If you know me, you know I'm always on the lookout for the newest and the greatest thing out there.  Well, imagine my surprise when I discovered something wonderful that isn't the newest thing out there.  In fact, it's been around for a while!

I discovered 20 Mule Team Borax Detergent Booster.  20 Mule Team Borax is a 100% natural mineral.  Absolutely nothing is added, no phosphates, no chlorine, no chemicals.  It softens your water so that your detergent works better, and also keeps stains from being re-deposited back on your clothes.  Does it work?  I say, oh yes!

Our water here is particularly hard, so I was thrilled to try this.  After adding it to my wash, my whites look great, and my clothes are cleaner!  Which is saying something if you knew what my son's clothes looked like going into the washer.... yuck!

But, wait!  20 Mule Team Borax does so much more!  I've used it in my dishwasher to get my dishes cleaner.  I've used it to help clean my bathroom and kitchen.  I've even dumped some down my disposal to get rid of a not-so-nice smell!  Yes, it does all that!  You can check out all the great cleaning tips at their website!  I'll always have a box of 20 Mule Team Borax in my home from now on!
