Pros: Dishwasher Safe, Powerful Motor, Handles Tough Jobs, Easy To Use, Durable

    Describe Yourself: Avid Cook

I love this processor! I've been looking for quite some time and been discouraged at the high prices of food processors. Then I discovered this one! The price is great, so I thought I'd give it a try. I was so surprised when it came... it's a great size! I've been putting it through it's paces and it has handled every job I've asked it to do, from chopping meat, to potatoes, to cucumbers, to making bread crumbs... the list goes on and on. The fun thing is now all the kids want to help too because it is so much fun and so fast! I definitely recommend this product, I don't know how I cooked without it!

Fogless Shower Mirror Review and Giveaway

I had the wonderful opportunity to review the Fogless Shower Mirror from ToiletTree Products.  This mirror actually stays fogless, how cool is that?!  It is a great size for the shower and is flush against the shower wall, so I don't bump into it all the time.

It manages to stay fog-free by using a water reservoir that is easily fillable.  I have put this mirror through it's paces, hot showers, cold showers, warm showers and it has not fogged up on me!  Woo hoo!  A squeegee is included to wipe away any water-spots that may get on your mirror.  There is also a built-in shelf for razors, tweezers, etc.  Can I tell you, I am now a big fan of having a mirror in the shower.  (yes, I had trepidation before).

The mirror was very easy to install.  My sweet husband installed it one evening and the next morning I was enjoying the mirror.  It made tweezing my eyebrows less painful, because my pores were nice and open due to the steam in the shower (yes, I am a wimp when it comes to tweezing my eyebrows, I admit that freely!)

I am now a fan of having a mirror in the shower, especially a fogless one!  ToiletTree Products has generously offered a Fogless Shower Mirror to one of you, my lucky readers!  Woo hoo!

    Do Unto Others

My parents were such a wonderful example of service and giving.  They were always quietly helping their neighbors, friends, and on many occasions, strangers.  If someone dropped by, no matter how meager or simple the meal was, Mom had a gift of extending that food so all were welcome at the table.  My goal has always been to live up to and continue that legacy.

I always try to see the need and be the one to fill it.  If a friend needs a shoulder to cry on, I'm honored it's mine.  If someone needs a meal brought in, I'm happy to do it.  Need a ride somewhere, hop in and I'll take you.  I truly enjoy these moments of service.  It changes the whole outlook on my day!

But here's the funny thing about helping your fellow men.  In the end, it's not them that you've helped... it's yourself.  Your own problems are put in perspective, your own burden seems lighter, people are always there when you yourself need the help.  You are a better person by spending time with these wonderful people who pass through your life.

At my dad's funeral person after person stopped and shared with me something Dad had done to help them through their life.  A kind word, fixing a car, a listening ear, the sweet stories touched my heart.  So here's that funny thing again, in the little acts of service that my Dad did through his life, those same people served me in my time of need.  They lifted my burden, and lightened my heavy heart.  And here's that funny thing again... as people were comforting my mother, in fact, my mother was comforting them.  Her arms were constantly hugging and her soft words were constantly comforting... on the day she buried her husband her heart turned outward instead of inward.

I'm always amazed how it works like that.  In giving, so much comes back.  Thank you to all my dear friends, neighbors, and even strangers, who have made my life so much better, so much richer, by being a part of it.  I am in your debt.... let me know what I can do to help.....

    Balloonatiks Review and Giveaway

Contest is closed and I'm pleased to announce that Kathy P. is the winner!  Thank you to all who entered!

Balloonatiks, you say?  What in the world are Balloonatiks?  Well, let me tell you!

The Ballonatiks are five teens made out of rubbery, bouncy balloons who also have some incredible abilities!  Kind of like teenage balloon superheroes!  There's Flator, the school jock who can grow to massive sizes.  Airbrain, the smartest kid in school, can use his giant head as a hot air balloon.  There's Squeeker, the pretty and popular cheerleader who can paralyze the bad guys with her cheers.  Don't forget Sparky who can stop bad guys in their tracks with lightning bolts, and Bouncer who is the class clown, can transform himself into any kind of ball and bounce to amazing heights.

I was sent a Balloonatiks: The Collector's Set DVD to review.  As soon as it came my son grabbed it, stuck it in the DVD and was quickly engrossed!  He watched the whole thing and enjoyed every minute of it.  In fact, he has watched it several times since then.  He laughed out loud at several parts (including the "whoopee cushion" type joke).  Yes... it was 'that' kind of joke, especially loved by little boys!

I have to say that the animation was pretty good and the theme music is still stuck in my head.  If you're familiar with the Ghostbusters theme song, this is similar (maybe because it's performed by Ray Parker Jr. who wrote the Ghostbusters theme song).  Some of the voice talent includes Mark Hamill, and Billy West (if you watch Futurama you know Billy West.)

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cartoon and how much my son enjoyed it.  Yes, there was one flatulance joke, but you almost had to have one with teenage balloon characters.  We will watch for more Balloonatiks DVDs and add them to our collection.

Now here's the fun part, SSA Publications has generously offered a Balloonatiks DVD to one of my readers!  So get ready for another giveaway!

Mandatory Entry: You must be a follower of my blog.

Then comment with what super power you would like to have if you could choose.  (Personally, I'd like to fly!)   Please include your email address in your comment so I can contact you. (i.e. janesmith at gmail dot com )

Costume Super Center - It really is super!

    Hi my friends!

You know me and theatre.  You know me and costumes.  I eat, live and breathe both!  Well, have I discovered something that I think you'll love!  It the Costume Super Center !  A wonderful website for all your costuming needs!

I recently finished directing (and costuming) our Roadshow.  What fun that was!  We had two weeks to put together a 15 minute show and then take it on the road to three different venues.  The kids had a ball, and so did I!  Costume Super Center provided me with a Kings Robe.
Not only did it arrive when they said it would, but I was pleased with the quality.  It is a crushed velour, with a fake fur collar.  Our king looked very... well.... "kingly" in it!  The only problem I had initially is the fur collar wouldn't stay down when someone turned.  It would fold under.  A couple quick stitches solved that problem.  What I really love about it is, it doesn't wrinkle!  When we were traveling for the roadshow, some of the costumes wrinkled from people sitting in the cars.  Not our kings robe, it stayed very regal the whole time.

Here's my daughter modeling the kings robe for you:
Try not to look so excited, daughter!

Costume Super Center has costumes for all tastes, and all shapes and sizes! They have a great kids section , and even a plus size  collection.  I spent alot of time browsing and making plans for future costuming needs.  Remember, Halloween is right around the corner!  They have simple Halloween costumes, to elaborate made for the stage costumes.

Overall, I was pleased with their customer service, I was pleased with their shipping, and I was pleased with the costume itself.  I definitely recommend Costume Super Center.  I will use them in the future as we put on shows for our local community theater, and also for my own kids' costumes.

Disclosure:  CostumeSuperCenter.com provided me with the Kings Robe costume free of charge for review.  The opinions are all my own!

    Coffee Tables, Cuisinarts, and Clocks!

Okay, I admit it.... I love to online shop!  Now half the time I don't buy, but oh do I love to browse!  (alright... I love to buy too, but the funds limit that!)  Well, I have found shopping nirvana.  This site has everything from coffee tables to cuisinarts to clocks.  (Can you tell what I shopped around for today?)

What is this wonderland of shopping?  It is none other than CSN Stores .  It has absolutely everything! I actually lost track of time as I searched, surfed, and dreamed my way through the site.

Here's what I have my sights on currently!  Oh, the things I could create with this!

Well, here's the really neat news... I actually get to do a review for CSN Stores.  How completely cool is that?!  Stay tuned for the review in the next week or so.  And if you haven't heard from me in awhile, check my computer.  I may be sitting, drooling over all the wonderful items for sale.
