SweetLeaf Organics - So Sweet!

If you follow this blog, (I hope you do!) you know that my daughter has type 1 diabetes.  You also know that I'm usually trying to drop a few pounds (or more than a few pounds!).  You can probably guess that sugar is not our friend in this house.  I guess you could call it a delicious enemy!

So I was pretty excited to try SweetLeaf Organics products! I got to sample their Organic Stevia Sweetener, the Liquid Stevia Sweet Drops, and Sweet Drops for Water.  To sum up... I love it!

Let's start with the Organic Stevia Sweetener. It is certified organic by Quality Assurance International. This means that it has been fully verified that the highest organic standards are met in every phase of production.  I love that it is non-GMO, zero calories, zero carbs, and no artificial ingredients!  I use it all the time now.  I actually keep a few packets in my purse, so I always have it with me!  It does a great job sweetening and I don't detect any aftertaste!

Next, let's talk about sweet drops.  They are little drops of flavor that you can add to... well, anything!  SweetLife Organics has over twenty flavors you can try.  I tried some Peppermint Mocha in my hot chocolate... Yum!  I use the Sweet Drops for water all the time!  I add a couple drops to my bottled water or a glass of water and love the added sweetness and flavor!  My favorite is Valencia Orange.  Berry is very tasty also.  Again, no carbs, no calories, no aftertaste and no artificial ingredients.

We will definitely continue to use SweetLife Organics!  I think they are great products that I feel good about using with my family.  Thanks SweetLife!  You're so sweet!

Cinderella

I think we all have our favorite Disney princess.  Mine was Cinderella!  I loved when her Fairy Godmother came and transformed her dress!  (I guess even then I liked remaking clothes!)  I remember telling my mom when she told me to clean my room, "I'm just like Cinderella, doing all the work!"  Such a dramatic child!

Well, I have been waiting rather impatiently since I heard that Disney has making a live-action Cinderella.  After waiting and waiting (at least I thought so), it was my time to go to the ball... or at least the movie, Cinderella!

Let me tell you what it's about.  It's about Cinderella.... I don't think anyone doesn't know the story of Cinderella.

Here's what Disney had to say:

The story of “Cinderella” follows the fortunes of young Ella (Lily James) whose merchant father remarries following the death of her mother. Eager to support her loving father, Ella welcomes her new stepmother (Cate Blanchett) and her daughters Anastasia (Holliday Grainger) and Drisella (Sophie McShera) into the family home. But, when Ella’s father unexpectedly passes away, she finds herself at the mercy of a jealous and cruel new family. Finally relegated to nothing more than a servant girl covered in ashes, and spitefully renamed Cinderella, Ella could easily begin to lose hope. Yet, despite the cruelty inflicted upon her, Ella is determined to honor her mother’s dying words and to “have courage and be kind.” She will not give in to despair nor despise those who mistreat her. And then there is the dashing stranger she meets in the woods. Unaware that he is really a prince, not merely an apprentice at the Palace, Ella finally feels she has met a kindred soul. It appears her fortunes may be about to change when the Palace sends out an open invitation for all maidens to attend a ball, raising Ella’s hopes of once again encountering the charming Kit (Richard Madden). Alas, her stepmother forbids her to attend and callously rips apart her dress. But, as in all good fairy tales, help is at hand, and a kindly beggar woman (Helena Bonham-Carter) steps forward and – armed with a pumpkin and a few mice – changes Cinderella’s life forever.

A live-action feature inspired by the classic fairy tale, “Cinderella” brings to life the timeless images from Disney’s 1950 animated masterpiece as fully-realized characters in a visually dazzling spectacle for a whole new generation.

Here's what I have to say:

I loved every single minute of the movie!  I loved the subtle little nods to the original animated classic.  I loved the scenery!  The actors chosen to portray the characters were amazing!  The whole transformation scene with Helena Bonham-Carter as the Fairy Godmother was priceless! I giggled out loud with excitement and anticipation!  And oh, that dress!  I need one!  Imagine how elegant I would look while vacuuming!  Of course I'd wear it to a ball, but since I've never been to a ball... I'd wear it all the time at home, or going out to the grocery store, or picking my kids up from school, or... Ü

Disney always does it well, and Cinderella is no exception. My daughter is heading out today to see it again.  It opens today, nationwide.  Go see it, I know you'll love it!
